I agree. I’ve been using Livemocha for a couple of weeks now; as an introduction to the language it’s a good tool, but it’s too basic and there are no grammar explanations at all. Also, in my native language(Spanish) I’ve seen multiple mistakes, so I can only assume the same happens in other languages. I like the fact I get to know native speakers and chat with them though.

I think every resource can be used well, but I also believe that nothing can replace a good teacher. Of course, the teacher should be skilled and patient.

I know livemocha very well, as a free resource is very nice, still there are many mistakes in the exercises, also you don’t interact much.

Italian Portuguese Español french romanian are Latin languages…
And English and German are half Latin languages too…. you can find very many vocabularys in these languages…
    La conversazionne/conversación= Die Konversation/The Conversation…
all these “zionne/ción, – mus (like Kapitalismus/Capitalism) and verbs like conversate or something like these are from the latin (the romanian) language…. 60 procent of the english language are latin, in german 40^^
